Gaza faces a dire food situation as barely more than 300 aid trucks have entered the strip since Israel began its offensive in rafah a UN agency said in a report published Friday.
The UN report said supplies provided via afloating pier built by the us military are insufficient to address the crisis alone. Israel’s siege on the enclave has only tightened with the closing of rafah’s border crossing.
Former Israeli defense minister and war cabinet member Benny Gantz is demanding that the cabinet lays out a plan for the war against Hamas by June 8, threatenig to withdraw from the government if his demands are not met.
In northern Gaza, displaced Palestinians describe “death and horror” at the Jabalya refugee camp, where civil defense workers say they’ve pulled at least 150 bodies from the rubble left by heavy Israeli bombardment and fresh fighting with Hamas.
