Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Sultan of the Indian Bohra Community, Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin, accompanied by his brother Prince AlQae’d Jawhar Izz Al-Din, and his sons Prince Ja’far El-Sadiq Imadduddin, Prince Taha Najmuddin, and Prince Husain Burhanuddin. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Abbas Kamel, and the Representative of the Sultan of Bohra in Egypt, Mufaddal Mohammed.
Spokesperson for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the President welcomed Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin’s visit to Egypt, praising the historical relations between Egypt and the Bohra Community, and the role played by the Sultan and the community in the restoration and renovation of the mosques and shrines of Prophet Muhammed’s descendants “Ahl al-Bayt” and the historical mosques in Cairo. The President also lauded the development and charitable projects carried out by the community in Egypt. President El-Sisi emphasized the state’s keenness on continuing efforts on the path of development across the country, including the historical areas in Cairo, confirming that the state is making great efforts to develop and restore its cultural heritage.
Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin expressed his deep appreciation for President El-Sisi, and commended Egypt’s efforts toward development at all levels and the ongoing progress he witnesses across the country. The Sultan of the Indian Bohra Community also lauded the state and the President’s persistent efforts to promote the principles and values of citizenship and tolerance, thus enhancing social coexistence and peace. Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin also highlighted Egypt’s appreciated role in fostering peace, security, and stability in the region and the world, praising Egypt’s diligent endeavor to end wars and conflicts to achieve a better future for all peoples
